PointerStick

PointerStick does precisely what its name points out. Launch this application and it will place a virtual pointer stick on the screen, pointer stick that you can use just like you would your mouse. If you want to customize your PointerStick experience, you can change the stick’s size, transparency, image/texture, and position.

PointerStick works with Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, and other, older versions of Microsoft’s operating system. You’ll be glad to know that PointerStick is a portable application and consequently, it doesn’t have to be installed.

By default, PointerStick displays the virtual pointer stick at startup, meaning that the pointer stick will show up the moment you launch PointerStick. On top of that, there are several other ways to show/hide the virtual pointer stick: right click the PointerStick tray icon, use the mouse and triple click somewhere on the screen, use the Ctrl + Alt + Y or the Ctrl + Alt + Z hotkey, or simply click on the "Show/Hide the Stick" button that’s presented on PointerStick’s interface.

Speaking about PointerStick’s interface, you can use it to perform a few other tasks: change the stick’s size, adjust the stick’s transparency, pick a different image/texture for the stick, set it so PointerStick launches at startup, disable the hotkeys that bring up the stick, and more.

Left clicking on PointerStick’s tray icon brings up the interface mentioned above and right clicking the tray icon shows/hides the virtual stick. So how do you close this application, without having to manually terminate it from the Task Manager? The answer is simple: click the "# Esc" button that’s displayed in the lower right hand corner on the application’s interface.
